I don’t know why the media calls Aditya Chopra a mysterious man. In fact he is extremely normal man like any of us. He also fails to understand the Hullabaloo over him? I’m sure any-one who has worked and meet him will agree with me. I have given many hits with him, right from my Dhoom days. I have observed him very closely. He is self made, extremely talented man. He understands cinema and more importantly the business of making and running it successfully. He has turned his banner into a huge popular and revenue spinning business Empire. But one thing is for sure, he hates the media scrutiny over his life. He dosen’t want to be photographed or written about it, so why invade it? Everyone has the right to privacy and it should be respected . I made my first big solo with Dhoom and it was like a Dream come true for me. I remember my first meeting with Aditya Chopra, I was very nervous. But during the first meeting only he put at ease by his down to earth attitude. Adi has great knowledge about music, and it just took us couple of sitings to finalize the chartbusting music of Dhoom. Adi suggested, we take an international singer for the promotional song of the film. It was his idea to get Thailand’s singing sensation Tata Young to record a song. At first I was apprehensive about it, but Adi convinced me and his team got in touch with her. She arrived in Mumbia and recorded the song and what a song it turned out to be. That was the main UPS of the film. Can you imagine my first solo film hitting the bull’s eyes? Adi decided to keep a low profile and let me hogged the limelight. In fact the credit for Tata Young song goes to Adi, but he generously handed it over to me. And there is another myth about Aditya Chopra which I wanted to break. The impression in the industry is that he is not a good paymaster, which is again completely untrue. He is not only a good paymaster ( my cheques always arrived on time till date) but also takes good care of the people he is working with. When you’re working with him, he will personally look after you. And that’s what makes my relationship with him special. In fact, I’m the only one who has been repeated for all the Dhoom series right from the beginning. Looking at Aditya, I can only say he belevies in the saying…. KARAM KIYE JA, PHAL KI CHINTA MAT KAR. ” This was said by the Pritam Chakraborty a Bollywood leading music director too Aditya Chopra.”
